The 2-foot and 3-foot Portable Drinking Post’s are a convenient source of water for your horses, cows, sheep and other livestock. Easy to transport, this portable waterer can be set up anywhere and connected to a garden hose. Easy to use, thirsty animals press their nose to the paddle in an empty bowl.

For horses, most use the 3′ Portable Drinking Post.

For almost all other animals, the 2′ Portable Drinking Post may be best sitting only 24″ off of the ground, it’s easier for shorter animals to access.

We bought our drinking posts about 3 years ago. I have had zero issues with them. We are on a well so once every fall I do take them apart and fully clean them since I do get sediment from the well. However city water should have no issues. My cows have fresh water even on the coldest days and we had record negative temps last winter! The drinking posts did great. I will be ordering more as we add more pens around the barn area. These are a must have for anyone that deals with frozen hoses, tank heaters, evaporation, and algae build up in normal waterers. They are great for horses and cattle and pigs as well. A post for our pigs is in the list for next summer. - 11/16/2023

I am very happy with the drinking post. I have installed shorter ones for my goats and regular sized for my horses. Happy to say they all caught on quickly and seem to enjoy drinking from them. The company was easy to deal with when a part can broken they sent me a whole new waterer. - 4/16/2021

I installed two last fall nieghbors were cautious about them and cold weather 2 weeks ago we had negative 20 temp with minus 34 wind chill and they worked as advertised while my other waters were a solid block of ice. Those cold temperatures lasted 10 days very pleased and would recommend for anyone. - 3/02/2021

These are life changing! Say goodbye to scrubbing algae, filling troughs, frozen hoses, breaking ice, and worrying that your horse isn't drinking enough because the water got hot in the sun. We own a small farm/boarding facility and had 16 of these waterers installed and I couldn't be happier. They're practically maintenance-free and always work - even in the dead of winter. Not only do our horses love them (all but one learned how to use them in under 3 days…the dum-dum took a full 7 days), but they are also great for the goats. We're even contemplating modifying one so it sits just a few inches off the ground so the pigs can use them too! Water is always available for livestock, regardless of freezing or high temperatures. Animals quickly learn operation and when new cows are added, the other cows teach the new ones. AND, no troughs to manage or scrub!! - 7/12/2021

We currently have 8 drinking post automatic waterers for our horses. We have one in each of 3 paddocks and 1 in each of our 5 stalls. Installing the drinking post automatic waterers was the best decision we made when building our barn and paddocks 4 years ago. A special shout out to Brad at drinking post who's customer service is above 5 stars - he is always there to help with any questions and goes above and beyond the call of duty to help with questions, etc. I highly recommend drinking post waterers to everyone I know. The drinking post has made our life so much easier!!! No more carrying buckets or wrestling hoses ! We highly recommend buying this product. We trained our horses in 2 days exactly like the video says . It works!!!! It did take a few weeks to train the donkeys, but donkeys are stubborn that’s not a secret lol they love the waterer and actually use it for entertainment. Also customer service is amazing . All questions answered right away !! Very helpful and responsive. Thank you drinking posts for everything ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I've had 4 drinkers for my horses for several years now. This year's heat and drought have been TRYING! But I don't waste any water. The units always deliver clean, fresh, and cool water. I don't need to be cleaning green slime out of units every 2 days. In the heat of the day the horses are not standing at a tank splashing out valuable water that is no longer cool. Even when I move horses to a different location, they have no problem finding the drinkers. These are quality units! They are simple to repair when needed! They are priced fairly! Although we are in the deep south and don't have to battle the sub-zero winters...DP Waterers are still life savers. These waterers have saved our lives in the summer when we have to pour out hundreds of gallons of water every day to keep our water fresh, cool and algae free. Also for those weeks during the winter when we struggle with icy watering troughs the DP Waterers are like little miracles in our pasture (since the only place we are used to ice is in our sweet tea!).
