The Ultimate Drinking Post for Sheep and Goats

The Drinking Post is the most reliable automatic waterer for sheep and goats. It will eliminate all your watering chores – no more chopping ice, scrubbing algae, filling tanks, or dragging hoses! The bowl fills and drains with each use, which provides your animals with fresh, clean water every time they take a drink. It doesn’t require any electricity and it can stay frost-free in temps as low as -50 F/-45.5 C! It’s so sturdy and durable that we’ve backed every Ultimate Drinking Post with a 5 Year Warranty!

The Livestock Paddle Attachment: The Drinking Post for Sheep/Goats features a weighted riser block that attaches to the standard flat paddle. To activate the water, they will butt the riser block forward with their head. This “butting” motion is a natural action for sheep and goats, so it’s more comfortable to use and easier to learn! Installing the drinking post automatic waterers was the best decision we made when building our barn and paddocks 4 years ago. Drinking post is a great invention! I had problems with pigeon's using my horses water troth for their everyday use, it was getting gross. I had to clean it everyday. My Drinking Post waterer is one of the best purchases I've ever made for me and my horses. I was worried that my 38+ year old gelding would not be able to work it, but he figured it out in no time. Evening water cooler meeting of the minds! 😆 Wonder what those pipes are for??? If you have horses you MUST invest in The Drinking Post. This is the most incredible and smartest horse investment I have EVER made. These posts are worth their weight in gold. And they pay for themselves! There is no electricity to them!! They are set 18” below the frost line which means water is the perfect temperature 365 days a year. I NEVER have to clean a trough again or bust ice in the winter. I have even noticed clearer ”pp” because they drink so much more. 😉 I have had them installed since January they went through winter without issue. Summer has been great too with all this nasty heat I knew their water was fresh, clean, and cool! The boys were shown how to push the paddle ONCE and took to it like a fish in water. No, I don’t work for them…just a happy happy customer!! My horse chores have been cut drastically. No hoses to drag (200ft), no filling and dumping, no scrubbing…NOTHING! All I have to do is give grain twice a day as their hay is in huts! It takes less than 10 min. Insane! 😍 They are truly incredible!! - 8/17/2022

This thing is amazing. This is the second winter with it. I am going to do the winterizing this year. It got a bit frozen at the top last year in a heavy deep freezing (-15)snow. We've had 3 drinking posts installed at our Colorado ranch since 2017 and love the way they operate! No heaters, no electricity required and the water comes out clean and cool throughout the year, summer and winter. We have small ponies to large drafts and all have typically learned how to use it within a day or two. Recently in one pasture, one horse got a little "mouthy" with the paddle and eventually ripped it out of the bowl (original design). The owner personally delivered a newly designed bowl and paddle configuration which is much more robust (see comparison on their website) and we've been trouble-free now for several months.
