Cole BratwurstsThis is my second review I’m leaving based on the unbeatable customer service. I needed a part on a day they were closed. Not only did they call back, not only did they meet me on a day they closed but I received the part for FREE!!! I’m blown away by this company AND their product. I’ve had it for 2.5 years and it works sooooo good. Never freezes in the winter and I have mine out in the elements. Quality Customer service is hard to come by these days... not with this place. THANK YOU - 8/22/2020
Doug WilliamsSimple to install. Clean COOL water immediately available even in 100 degree temperatures. Great customer service ! - 7/18/2019

It's reliable....when the winter winds are blowing you know your animals have fresh water, when it's a hot summer day they have cool fresh water!! Love it!!! - 5/08/2020
Teresa TuckeyI have had mine installed for a few months now and it works great! - 1/16/2021
Elaine StarrWe currently have 8 drinking post automatic waterers for our horses. We have one in each of 3 paddocks and 1 in each of our 5 stalls. Installing the drinking post automatic waterers was the best decision we made when building our barn and paddocks 4 years ago. A special shout out to Brad at drinking post who's customer service is above 5 stars - he is always there to help with any questions and goes above and beyond the call of duty to help with questions, etc. I highly recommend drinking post waterers to everyone I know. They are maintenance free except for the occassional cleaning of grass that horses sometimes leave when they take a drink. I love these waterers!!! - 11/17/2020

Yvonne Plourde GurzellI love my 3 drinking posts I bought. Living in Florida I needed something that would give them fresh, cold, clean water without the mosquito problem. I bought the portable one since I don't need to bury it in the florida sand. - 8/16/2021
Judith DeGraaffI am so satisfied that I now have 5. It is so great to have clean, fresh water year round. We have 25 quarters horses of all sizes and operate the waterers easily.
Any time I need parts they are always available.
Best thing about the units is they are simple and easy to work on if repair is needed. Our first unit was installed on 2014.

we installed a drinking post waterer in the fall, and it has turned out to be awesome! I highly recommend having it! Customer service is top notch, too. We had issues with freezing in extremely cold temperatures, and they got back to us immediately and resolved the issues! - 2/12/2019
Cory FergusonWe have used these for 15+ years and can’t say enough about them. Talk about maintenance free. This is it. - 1/18/2019
David Vanek Jr.Has worked wonderfully for 2 years now! My horse loves it. Just lube the paddle once in a while. Cheers - 8/10/2021

These are life changing! Say goodbye to scrubbing algae, filling troughs, frozen hoses, breaking ice, and worrying that your horse isn't drinking enough because the water got hot in the sun. We own a small farm/boarding facility and had 16 of these waterers installed and I couldn't be happier. They're practically maintenance-free and always work - even in the dead of winter. Not only do our horses love them (all but one learned how to use them in under 3 days…the dum-dum took a full 7 days), but they are also great for the goats. We're even contemplating modifying one so it sits just a few inches off the ground so the pigs can use them too! The Drinking Post Waterers are something that I now couldn't imagine being without.
-Nicole Marts, Virginia - 5/22/2019Katie PfettscherLove our drinking post, so easy even my 3 month old pony filly uses it! - 8/24/2020
Nadine Chancey-SchofillI was skeptical that my mini’s would be able to use the watering post but after dealing with hot Florida summers, mold and hoses I really wanted to give it a try.
In the beginning the ponies couldn’t figure out the paddle. I contacted Drinking Post and they sent out a much larger paddle (looks like a brick) and they took to it right away.
I am happy to report that even my 6 week old colt has mastered the watering post. - 6/10/2020 - Charles Kerr
I installed two last fall nieghbors were cautious about them and cold weather 2 weeks ago we had negative 20 temp with minus 34 wind chill and they worked as advertised while my other waters were a solid block of ice. Those cold temperatures lasted 10 days very pleased and would recommend for anyone. - 3/02/2021
Robert ParmenterVery good! I have six horses. They actually line up take turns getting a drink. - 4/08/2021
Stacy SelfI absolutely love these posts for our goats, cows, mini horses and donkey! easy to use and to train everyone to use them! - 3/13/2021

I was worried about freezing up in the open paddock with temps negative 20 degrees F in the winter. Nope! Care FREE all winter long!! Hallelujah!! - 9/19/2021
Tina AtkinsDrinking posts rock! I live in northern Michigan...in sand...with big draft horses who try to knock them around. No issues. Negative twenty or so below zero, no problem. I own two of them going on 4 years. No problems. - 5/09/2020

I highly recommend the Drinking Post! - 5/14/2020
Ellen HeckertWe installed one last year (2018) and it worked beautifully through a very cold, windy Pennsylvania winter. I just purchased two more for other pastures and can’t wait till the ground thaws to get them installed!! They have stood up to our horses kicking at them, chewing on them and trying to bite the paddle! The post did not get brittle in the cold like PVC does. Great work saving product!! No more cleaning dirty, slimy troughs and wasting water and electricity!! - 3/03/2019
Kenna MarieWe love our drinking post! It was very easy to install and the horses figured it out quickly - 2/20/2020
- Ana Andrick
Best investment ever! Don’t have to worry about tank heaters or moving hoses. Customer service is awesome too. - 12/05/2018
Bob GieseWe installed a Drinking Post in November 2017 and have gone through two of the most brutal February’s we can remember in Montana. The only problem we had was when it was -32 temperature and -59 wind chill. The paddle froze open and that was my fault as I had it screwed down too tight. The DP is easy to install, uses no power and ours works awesome. I have had a couple issues with a horse that didn’t want to learn how to drink and Brad answered almost immediately with a solution. All of our other horses caught on to the DP in a day or two. We have used other automatic waterers and the DP is hands down better! We love our DP! - 3/10/2019
Chelsea Lilly GardnerCould not be happier with my drinking post! So much time and money saved this winter with the drinking post waterer! - 1/31/2019

Keith Tolison –
We use them for COWS, BULLS AND CALFS. One of the best decision we have made at kt2Ranch. It’s February in Colorado, I have not touched a water hose all winter. We buy steers for finishing and they always learn within a few days. We have never had any get sick. We will be adding more DRINKING POST this spring.

We have had the drinking post waterer for many years. It has required very little attention. We have replaced several paddles and that is it for parts. It has not been apart for any reason . It gets down to 25 below and is windy here in Vermont. Ocassionally we have had to remove ice around the rim on the very coldest of days which is quite easy with a kettle of hot water. There is no other product/system that I am aware of that would provide water for our cattle year round as reliably as The Drinking Post Waterer.
Michael James Paben –
ABSOLUTELY love this system. Ease of install was a plus. I live in north east Missouri and we have some really cold winters but we have had no issues. We have a small cattle herd and I have been telling everyone about this system. Have even considered trying to sell these waterers in my area because nobody in this area sells them and there are a lot of cattle and horse people in the area. Thanks for making a great product.

Installed four years ago, and though there have been little things go wrong, (broken paddle), we never want to go back to windy winter days where we would chop the ice in the water trough, fill, then drain the hose. I have had to pull the top out several time, to winterise, and today pulled, as the valve was not shutting off. Took up to the shop, and used compressed air to blow everything off, disassemble clean, and reassemble and now no leaks. This has been a very trouble free tool, saves time, water is always available, and clean. Of great import to me is MADE IN USA, and I have called once when I was having trouble with the reinstallation of the rod actuator, and was talked through the problem, so most impressed with the customer service. We are in Central Wa St. up in the foothills of the Cascade mountains, 2070 feet, and hot summers, cold winters, always works. In four years, I have only spent a couple hours in service time replacing small parts, and the recent valve r&r, so pretty trouble free. We buried four feet deep, and before final instillation, of the unit, flush pipe so there is no debris to plug the screen. I used this method to install: Using pipe dope, thread a galvanized or brass 3/4 street ell onto the bottom of the drinking post, install a 3/4 PVC threaded by slip male coupler, then glue pvc pipe into coupler then glue to supply. This allows you to set the unit flat and level and to the height you want, then shovel some gravel in then fill around post, and when it is solid fill the rest of the trench. Hope this helps on the installation. Great cottage industry, hartly recommend them.

One word “Ultimate” So true. The watering post is the “ultimate” water system for livestock. Easy installation, with little, to no maintenance afterward. I may test and clean the bowl before any animals are put in the pasture and then never have to worry about algae, lingering mosquitoes, or wasps that swarm a trough or bowl of water. The water my animals get is always fresh. Highly recommended.
Brad –
We live in central MS. It is hot and humid here this time of year. No way to keep traditional open water sources from being stagnant, hot, and full of algae and mosquito larvae. The drinking posts solved that and have worked flawlessly during the summer. We had our coldest winter in years. The drinking posts worked like a charm no busting ice or running extension cords to heaters. Only problem was when it got into low teens for a week or so they would get some ice accumulation as the bowl wouldn’t completely drain quick enough. Easy enough to run the water by hand a few minutes and rake the ice out. Never got to a point where animal’s didn’t have water. We have goats and stocker calves that get rotated through pastures. Was a little worried if the yearling calves would be to rough and break the goat paddle’s on the valves. So far it’s been no problem at all.
